Bali will soon welcome a new skatepark. In April 2025, the Tabanan Regency Government will start developing a new skating facility at Lapangan Kediri.
Skating, like surfing, is hugely popular in Bali with both local communities and tourists.

The Regent of Tabanan Komang Gede Sanjaya told reporters that the construction of the new skate park is a response to the aspirations of the community, especially young skateboarders. He shared “We accommodated their aspirations and then we realized them at the Kediri Field.”
It is not only the skate park that will be developed but a full set of recreational facilities, including a jogging track and climbing area.
Regent Sanjaya shared “In addition to road infrastructure, we are also committed to improving public facilities and social facilities such as fields. The Alit Saputra Field has been built, the Jambe Field has also been built, now the Kediri Field, including the Penebel Field.”
He added “For the construction of stake park has entered the auction stage, this April will begin construction. So that children who like to play roller skates, skateboards can be in Kediri Field not only in Dangin Carik Field which is used for public activities.”
A budget of IDR 1.5 billion has been allocated, though the Regent did not reveal when the prospective date of completion has been set for.
Tabanan Regency is one of Bali’s most popular tourist destinations, home to world-famous attractions and landmarks such as Tanah Lot Temple, Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, the UNESCO World Heritage Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, and the Alas Kedaton Temple & Monkey Forest.
The development of the skate park, rock climbing area and recreational facilities at Lapangan Kediri will be a welcome addition to the regency, both for the local community and for tourists too.
Skating is hugely popular in Bali, and while we will have to wait a little while longer before the skate park at Lapangan Kediri opens, in the meantime there are plenty of fantastic facilities to make the most of. Perhaps the most famous skatepark in Bali is the skatepark at Kuta Beach.
Relatively newly opened the Kuta Beach Skatepark is always busy with local boarders and international skaters all coming together to enjoy the space.
Kuta Beach Skatepark, like the basketball courts at the Kuta Beachwalk, is super busy around sunset and is a great place to meet new friends whether on vacation or living in Bali.

Outside of the Kuta Beach Skatepark, there are a heap more facilities to explore. Motion Skatepark is one of the top private skateparks in Bali and can also be found in Kuta. Amplitude Skatepark on Jalan Raya Semer is considered to be one of the best skateparks in all of Indonesia.
Open seven days a week, even open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, the park is always pumping and is where you can find the heart of the skating community in Bali.

For those up in Ubud, there are options to ride too! Titi Batu Club in Mas Village has its own skatepark within the recreation centre. To make life even easier, Titi Batu even has its own boards and scooters to rent too.
The park can be used by guests visiting Titi Batu on a Day Pass or access is included in membership. Tourists and holidaymakers looking to level up their skating experience in Bali can book a skate retreat, or even better a skate and surf retreat.

Schools like Mantra Surf in Canggu’s Batu Bolong offer what they call SurfSkate lessons, and the two skill sets greatly complement each other. Mantra Surf describes their SurfSkate lesson as a ‘fun, effective, and a great way to level up before hitting the ocean.”
