Indonesia’s low-cost airline TransNusa has confirmed that it has started expanding its international flight services.
From 17th October 2025, TransNusa began operating a direct Bali-Singapore route, offering not only affordable flights for Indonesians and Singaporeans but also long-haul travelers heading to Bali who need an easy layover.

Speaking to reporters, the President Director of TransNusa Airlines, Bayu Sutanto, noted that, as a world-class tourist destination, Bali continues to attract visitors with its beautiful beaches, rich culture, and mouthwatering culinary delights. From the tranquility of Ubud to the glitz of Seminyak, Bali offers a truly unique experience for every traveler.
Meanwhile, Singapore stands strong in its image as a captivating modern city with a blend of culture, entertainment, and innovation.
Destinations like Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands, and culinary districts like Chinatown and Little India make Singapore a favorite destination for tourists from around the world, and it is the layover of choice for hundreds of thousands of long-haul travelers bound for Bali each year.
Sutanto told reporters, “Bali and Singapore are two iconic destinations in Southeast Asia that complement each other. Through this route, we hope to support tourism growth while providing more flight options for both domestic and international travelers.”
He added, “To open this new route, TransNusa is offering special offers with ticket prices starting from IDR 999,000 from Bali to Singapore, and 109 SGD from Singapore to Bali. These pocket-friendly prices are the perfect opportunity for travelers to explore two popular Southeast Asian destinations with a comfortable and stylish flying experience with TransNusa.”
The service will operate daily, departing from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport at 7.30 am and departing from Singapore Changi Airport at 10.55 am local time. It has also been noted that the addition of the new Bali-Singapore route strengthens Bali’s still emerging position as TransNusa’s international hub. TransNusa is already offering connecting flights from Perth and Guangzhou via Bali, making it easier for passengers to continue their journeys to other destinations.
This is still the early days for TransNusa in its expansion into the International flight space, and there are big moves expected to come.
For now, however, TransNusa currently serves flights to Jakarta, Manado, Guangzhou, Perth, and Singapore from Bali, providing more options for passengers looking to explore domestic and international destinations comfortably and very affordably indeed.

The Bali – Guangzhou flight route was launched in March 2205 and has proven to be a game-changer for tourists from Australia, China, and Indonesia, but especially for regular business travelers from these regions.
Speaking at the time of the launch of the new flight service, TransNusa Group Chief Executive Officer and aviation veteran, Datuk Bernard Francis, shared, “We are always looking at developing new routes to benefit our passengers. While traditional routes such as Bali to Perth and Bali to Guangzhou are important, we also strive to go the extra mile to provide fast as well as seamless connectivity to our passengers.”

He added, “With the launch of our new Bali-Guangzhou route, our passengers can now enjoy one of the fastest scheduled connecting flights to either Guangzhou or Perth via Bali, with a transit duration of either 1 hour and 30 minutes or 2 hours and 35 minutes, depending on the day and time of the scheduled flights.”

The TransNusa offering aligns with Bali’s call to attract more international tourists to the province. At present, and has long been the case, Bali’s most frequent international arrivals hail from Australia, closely followed by tourists from China.
Bali is on track to smash its 2025 tourism targets, set at 6.5 million international arrivals. Bali is currently in the low season, though a huge influx of tourists, both domestic and international, arrives on the island every year for the Christmas and New Year holidays, known locally as Nataru.
