Man From Hong Kong Faces Harsh Penalty In Bali Case

A man from Hong Kong will face the death penalty if convicted of smuggling 3 kilograms of meth into Bali. 

The trial for 43-year-old, Ho Ping Kwong of Hong Kong who is accused of smuggling 3 kg (3,206 grams) of methamphetamine has began in Denpasar court. 

Prosecutor I Gusti Lanang Suyadnyana told a panle of judges  led by Wayan Gede Rumega that the suspect should get the death penalty if convicted.

Ho Ping Kwong arrived on the night of December 4th, 2019 around 23:30 to the Ngurah Rai International Airport. 

Upon secondary screening the Hong Kong national was caught traveling with 3kg of meth.
