The incident occurred, when the victim went to ‘Trans Studio Mall’ that is located on Jalan Imam Bonjol, Denpasar on Tuesday (5/10) to buy a towel. After paying the cashier with his credit card, Soonil had mistakenly left his card and went back home. Several days later when Soonil wanted to make a payment at one of the restaurants in Denpasar, he realized that his credit card was gone.

When Soonil called his bank to cancel his card, he was shocked as the bank’s customer service officer informed him that somebody had spent a total of USD 2,750 (IDR 39 million) using his credit card, so he reported the incident to the police.

During the interrogation, he admitted that he had used the credit card to buy a television, 2 cellphones, 2 water dispensers, a fan, and several baby supplies. Wibowo has been detained at the police department’s holding cell and will potentially face 5 years of imprisonment.
