A 31-year-old man named Rachmat Hidayat has been arrested for snatching a bag from a woman in Dalung, North Kuta.
The Bali Criminal Investigation Bureau Director, Kombes Pol Ary Satriyan, confirmed that they arrested the suspect on Thursday (16/12) at 2:30 am from his place in Jalan Bung Tomo X, North Denpasar. He was brought in for snatching a bag from a victim, identified as Ni Putu Ayi Aditya Wedayanti (age 27).
According to a verified source, the incident occurred when the victim rode her motorbike along Jalan Mudutaki, Dalung, on Saturday (11/12) at around 12:30 am.
Suddenly, the suspect approached the victim with his motorbike and snatched her bag, causing her to lose her balance and fall off her motorbike. When the suspect had the bag, he immediately drove off, leaving the victim seriously injured.

During the interrogation, the suspect admitted that he had done something similar in the Canggu area, where he snatched a bag from a woman on October 23rd 2021, at around 11:00 pm.
“An investigation is still underway as we suspect that this man is also an ATM skimmer specialist,” the officer concluded.
