A 25-year-old man named Rama Putra Sakti Pratama has been arrested on Thursday Nov 12th 2020 after breaking into a military dormitory in Denpasar.
The perpetrator was arrested by South Denpasar Police Officers while he was on the run in Solo, Central Java after breaking into Praja Raksaka Dormitory in Kepaon, South Denpasar.
He was detained along with the evidence including a cell phone and wallet that belong to a soldier named Moh. Rizky Agung Pambudi (22) that had been stolen Friday Oct 10th 2020.
“He stole a cell phone and a wallet along with the ID card and debit card of the victim, the estimated value was USD $393 (IDR 5,5 million)” said the Head of South Denpasar Criminal Investigation Bureau, AKP Hadimastika Kartiko Putro on Sunday Nov 15th 2020. According to the Police’ investigation, the perpetrator broke into the dorm after breaking the door lock and then fled to Banjarsari District in Solo Central Java.
After cooperating with the Police Department in Java, they finally tracked down the man and he was arrested.
“He admitted what he has done to the officers, and thankfully we also got the victim’s cell phone before he sold it” Hadimastika added.
The perpetrator is being detained in South Denpasar Police Department’s cell and is facing up to 5 years in prison.
