Man Arrested After Breaking Into His Boss’ Shop

   A 30-year-old man named Made Sukayadnya has been arrested after breaking into a shop that belongs to his boss.

The Head of the North Kuta Police Department, AKP Putu Diah Kurniawandari confirmed that an investigation about this case began after authorities received a statement from the victim, Ni Kadek Dwi Utama Ningsih (aged 35). The statement was regarding an incident that occured at her shop, Torched Garage that is located in Semer, North Kuta on Monday (16/8). “When we received a report from the victim, we started our investigation by collecting information from the security cameras on scene, so we could try to identify the suspect from the footage.” AKP Diah said on Friday (20/8).

After several days of investigations, the suspect was arrested at his relative’s house that is located on Jalan Tukad Pakerisan, South Denpasar on Thursday (19/8) without resistance. “When we were informed about the suspect’s position, our team began to move in and arrested him in Denpasar on Thursday evening around 7:00pm.” AKP Diah added. During the interrogation the suspect admitted he had broken into his boss’ shop from the back side of the property.

The suspect managed to access the property by climbing the fence and opening the back door with a key that he kept prior to the incident. “The suspect knows the place very well as he has been working in the shop for quite a while. When he managed to get inside, he stole valuable items such as clothes, several motorbike’s parts and other expensive gadgets.” AKP Diah concluded. The suspect has been detained at the North Kuta police department and will possibly be charged with 7 years imprisonment.
