The low-cost airline Jetstar has just confirmed that it will launch a new direct flight service between Australia and Bali.

Australian tourists are the most frequent international arrivals in Bali, and the new service will give tourists more options than ever when it comes to planning their vacations.

Jetstar is one of the leading low-cost airlines connecting Australian tourists with Bali. The new direct flight service will start in August 2025, at the peak of the high season.

The new services will connect tourists from the Gold Coast with Bali, with the first service taking off on 1st August. The route will operate three times weekly and will, in turn, provide more than 58,000 affordable seats for holidaymakers every year.

The CEO of Jetstar Group, Stephanie Tully, told the media, “We are thrilled to provide our customers with a low-cost connection between the Gold Coast and Bali, making it more affordable and convenient for travelers to reach the Indonesian holiday island.”

She added, “Bali has always been Jetstar’s most popular international destination, and it’s not hard to see why with its beautiful beaches and resorts, delicious food, friendly locals, affordability, and proximity to Australia.”

The outbound service from Gold Coast will depart at 6.15 pm and arrive in Denpasar at 10.35 pm local time. The service will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays on flight code JQ93. The inbound service will depart Denpasar at 11.45pm, arriving back into Gold Coast Airport at 7.15am local time the following morning. The service will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, on flight code JQ94.

The CEO of Queensland Airports Limited, Amelia Evans, also shared her praises for the new flight service for Bali-bound Queenslanders. She said, “Bali is a popular holiday choice for locals, with more than 130,000 passengers traveling between the two destinations in the past two years.”

Evans added, “This is a huge win for our region, making Bali more accessible and providing more options for locals looking to book their next getaway!”  Tickets are on sale now, and one-way fares start at AUD 199 for a limited time only.

It is not only Jetstar who are improving their connections between Australia and Bali. Earlier this week Indonesia AirAsia, confirmed the launch of a new Adelaide and Denpasar route that will commence in June 2025. The service will operate four times weekly and the low cost airline has put tickets on sale already.

In a media statement, Veranita Yosephine, the Chief Executive of Indonesia AirAsia, shared, “We are thrilled to touch down in Adelaide and South Australia soon for the very first time.  Australia is one of our most important growth markets with the recent addition of Cairns and Darwin to our network as well as Perth.”

Tourists planning to visit Bali in the upcoming high season are advised to book their flights as soon as possible.

Demand for travel to Bali is only increasing. While airlines are working with Bali Airport to put more flight services on the schedule, it is guaranteed that many of the most popular flight services will be sold out throughout the high season.

To avoid disappointment and rising last-minute ticket fares, tourists would be wise to shop around for deals and book seats as soon as the best rates appear in their searches; refresh the search, and the deals could disappear!

Kuta and GC, what a combo! Pile high more mullet Bintang bros with stripper single mums and you’ve got a cultural phenomenon. UNESCO will be sure to elevate both locations to world heritage status as the bogan hordes descend to make the pilgrimage to Bintang nirvana!

Kuta "beach" is ready with plastic chairs and cold Bintang lined up. Walked along the beach yesterday for a quick inspection and almost passed out from the kretek smoke lingering everywhere from the thousands of locals idling there. Not much beach left in parts due to erosion.

Discovery mall area is a construction zone with a new tall building and a stage on the "beach". They do not care about the 30 meter minimum distance to the beach or not taller than a coconut tree rules anymore. Part of the Discovery mall is abandoned. More lively at Beachwalk mall although this mall also looks extremely tired after years of neglect.
