The President of Angkasa Pura I for Bali Ngurah Rai Airport, Faik Fahmi, confirmed that Jetstar has officially resumed its Perth-Bali route on Friday morning (8/4), transporting over a hundred passengers to the island.

The Perth-Bali route is the third resumed flight between Bali and Australia as Jetstar has also resumed its Sydney-Bali and Melbourne-Bali routes recently.

“Bali Ngurah Rai Airport is receiving flights from three Australian cities as of April 8,” Faik added. The plane arrived in Bali on Friday morning and departed from Bali at 1:10 pm on the same day with 87 passengers on board.

The Perth-Bali route by Jetstar Airways will operate 7 days a week. Faik admitted that the majority of foreign visitors to Bali before the Covid-19 pandemic were Australians, so he is optimistic that this will lead to the recovery of Bali tourism.

“With the added international route, we’re optimistic that the influx of visitors from Australia will surge,” Faik concluded.

Quote: The President of Bali Airport Faik says the majority of International tourists prior to the pandemic were from Australia and he was happy to see more flights arriving from Australia because of the surge in tourists they expect. Lots of Aussies spending lots of money this should bring a smile to lots of Balinese people who have had an extremely difficult 2 years without any support from the government and lots of goodwill from many Australians to help them survive this pandemic.
