The Tourism Association in the Karangasem region has confirmed that hundreds of hotel reservations from domestic visitors have been canceled due to the latest policy to impose an emergency partial lockdown in Bali.
The Head of the Karangasem Hotel and Restaurant Association, Wayan Kariasa confirmed that accommodation businesses in Karangasem have received direct impact from the implementation of the emergency partial lockdown that was recently instructed by the central government. “Hundreds of hotel reservations in Karangasem have been canceled since July 2nd 2021.” Kariasa said on Sunday (4/7).
As The Bali Sun previously reported the central government has instructed all regions in Bali and Java to implement an emergency partial lockdown to reduce Covid-19 transmissions that have been surging since the new variant of Corona virus has entered many regions on both islands. Kariasa predicted that the number of cancelations would potentially increase as the government implements more restrictions for both domestic and international visitors.
He also explained that several events that were planned to be held in Karangasem, including the Work From Bali (WFB) program were also canceled during the implementation. Kariasa urged the government to provide financial support to the tourism sectors as compensation for their compliance with the policy. “I hope the government can provide some support such as helping workers who have been laid-off, paying for their insurance, and providing cash assistance for operational costs during the partial lockdown since we had to close our businesses until the lockdown ends.” Kariasa concluded.

You should not have had any cancellations for the hotels, they should have been closed down months and months ago, what's wrong with you people you still don't understand what a virus pandemic is yet.
You say hundreds of hotel reservations have been cancelled since July 2nd 2021 sounds like a lot of big porky pies.
