A Prosecutor at the Denpasar Court House, I Gusti Lanang Suyadnya said that the man who has already retired from the British Marine Force was previously arrested by police officers for drug possession from a hotel room in Legian Paradiso Hotel that located on Jalan Legian, Kuta Badung on Dec 28th 2020. “The suspect was arrested from a hotel in Legian in December 2020 around 8:00pm.” Suyadnya said on Tuesday (27/4).

Back in 2020, officers decided to begin their investigation after receiving information about a man who was in possession of illegal substances inside the Legian Paradiso Hotel. When police arrived at the hotel to begin their search, they saw Steve come out from a room with suspicious behaviour. “The officers decided to search him and his room that day, and shortly after they found a package of crystal meth that weighed 0.76 gram hidden inside of the toilet.” Suyadnya added.

The suspect wrapped the package with toilet paper and also hid an aluminium pipe and glass pipe inside the toilet. Officers also seized his cellphone that he allegedly used to order the drugs. “The suspect finally admitted that the drugs were his, after previously denying it. And Steve will be potentially sentenced with 12 years of imprisonment for violating Article 112 Number (1) of Narcotics Constitutions.” Suyadnya concluded.
