A man has been detained by the National Narcotics Office (BNNP) for attempting to deliver drugs into Kerobokan Prison.

The Head of Kerobokan Prison Class IIA, Fikri Jaya Soebing, confirmed that a man who has been working as a delivery rider for a transportation app in Bali has been detained for attempting to deliver a package of meth on Friday (8/4) at 1:30 pm.
The package was meant for an inmate with the initials HS.

The delivery rider arrived at Kerobokan Prison with a box of powdered milk.
“One of our inspection staffs became suspicious with the package so he asked the driver to move to another room for further investigation.” Fikri said. The officer found a package of crystal meth hidden inside the box of the milk powder.

Fikri handed the package and the delivery rider to the National Narcotics Office (BNNP) for investigation.
“I think the delivery rider had no idea what he was delivering as he just received the order through the app. However, he has been detained for further investigation,” Fikri concluded.
