Bali’s Nusa Islands are receiving more tourists than ever before. This is in part thanks to the increased accessibility of the islands. With multiple fast boat arrivals and departures daily, it has never been easier to explore Bali’s outlying islands.
Though governed as part of Bali Province, the outlying islands of Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan have a unique cultural heritage of their own. The islands are all three Balinese Hindu and share many of the same traditions and culture practices as main island Bali. But thanks to their remote locations and separateness from one another, each of these islands has a cultural footprint all of its own that is just crying out to be explored.
