Tourists planning their 2026 vacations in Bali should seriously consider Nusa Dua as their destination of choice.
Nusa Dua consistently receives rave reviews from tourists and is home to some of the best hotels on the island.
It’s not only reviews that show Nusa Dua is the place to be, but occupancy too.

Speaking to reporters, I Made Agus Dwiatmika, General Manager of the Nusa Dua Area, stated that the occupancy rates in the Nusa Dua area as of the end of October were quite high and showed an increase compared to the same period in 2023.
He noted, “Last week it reached 84 percent, and this week it’s at 77 percent. That’s still quite high compared to the same period last year.” These hotel occupancy rates are being celebrated by hoteliers in Nusa Dua since it is the middle of the low season in Bali.
Typically, late September through mid-December is one of the two low season periods in Bali, so for Nusa Dua to be hitting occupancy rates of over 70% during this period is a hugely positive sign for tourism businesses and for tourists too.
This is proof, if ever any was needed, that Nusa Dua is a top year-round destination for holidaymakers. Dwiatmika told reporters that this level of interest in Nusa Dua is growing despite global headlines influencing tourists’ decisions to travel.
He noted, “Regarding the possibility of reservation cancellations due to the resurfacing of COVID-19 concerns, we haven’t received any reports so far. This indicates that tourist confidence remains high.”
He noted that as a resort area, the team in The Nusa Dua works around the clock to ensure that health and safety protocols and standard operating procedures are strictly adhered to.
Dwiatmika explained, “Preventive efforts are carried out through an awareness approach, not pressure. This is actually effective in reducing risk while maintaining tourist confidence.”
Nusa Dua is home to the highest concentration of five-star hotels in Bali and is known to welcome some of the most esteemed travelers in the world, including royalty, celebrities, presidents, and prime ministers. Hotels like the Apurva Kempinski are consistently ranked amongst the best hotels in the world and win back-to-back awards.
Just this week, Nusa Dua’s Apurva Kempinski confirmed that it had won four major accolades at the Asia-Pacific culinary awards ceremonies hosted throughout the region in the last month alone.
The team has added awards to the trophy cabinet from the Young Talents Escoffier Asia Pacific 2025 in Vietnam, the Indonesia Best Sommelier Competition 2025 in Jakarta, and the Campari Red Hands APAC 2025 in Bali.

In a press statement shared on Thursday, 6th November, General Manager of The Apurva Kempinski Bali, Vincent Guironnet, wrote, “We are very proud of our team’s extraordinary achievements on the international stage.”
The Apurva Kempinski’s Nara Iswara has been announced as the Gold Winner, Young Talents Escoffier Asia Pacific.

Egi Krisnawan was confirmed as Champion at the Indonesia Best Sommelier Competition. The hotel’s esteemed Widiarta won 2nd Runner-Up at the Indonesia Best Sommelier Competition, and Edi Arista was named as 2nd Runner-Up at Campari Red Hands APAC.
As the jewel of Nusa Dua, The Apurva Kempinski’s restaurants have been listed amongst the top 1% and top 10% in the world.

While a stay at the Apurva Kempinski is an exclusive, high-ticket affair, dining at one of the hotel’s many award-winning restaurants and in-house beach club is available for non-guests. Table booking is essential, and a smart dress code is in place at many of the eateries.
The Apurva Kempinski’s most famous restaurant is Koral, famed for its one-of-a-kind setting in Bali, located within an aquarium.
