Bali’s most prestigious hotel, the Apurva Kempinski in Nusa Dua, is reaffirming its commitment to promoting Indonesian culture to the world through its new campaign, Powerful Indonesia.

This movement is set to be a majestic celebration of the heritage these lands have to explore.

The Apurva Kempinski is Bali’s most highly regarded hotel. Located in the heart of The Nusa Dua, Bali’s most luxurious tourism resort, the hotel has hosted the likes of world leaders, royalty, and A-List celebrities.

What sets Apurva Kempinski apart, aside from its world-class hospitality, is its unwavering commitment to preserving and promoting Indonesian and Balinese culture.

In its latest endeavor, the hotel will be showcasing performing arts, culinary wonders, and traditional sustainability practices from across the archipelago with guests and visitors.

During the press conference launch of ‘Powerful Indonesia’ the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications of The Apurva Kempinski Bali, Revina Mulia Chandra, said that this program is a continuation of the previous initiative and aims to make Indonesian culture more recognizable to international audiences.

Chandra shared, “We want to showcase Indonesia more widely, not only Bali, but also the cultural richness of various regions. Through various activities that are packaged more lightly, we hope that global tourists can more easily understand and appreciate Indonesian traditions.”

She added, “When guests come to Bali and stay at The Apurva, they will get an experience of Indonesia as a whole, not just Bali. We want to present various ways for them to learn and get to know our culture, from music performances to art exhibitions in the lobby.”

Guests curious about Indonesia’s hugely diverse music culture will enjoy ‘Suara Apurva’, which is a collaborative project created with Indonesian musician Indra Lesmana.

The program seeks to present music with a touch of local culture that is packaged in a format that is more easily accepted by tourists from various countries.

The General Manager of Apurva Kempinski, Vincent Guironnet, told reporters, “With Powerful Indonesia to the World, we are not just showcasing Indonesia’s rich heritage, we are also inviting the world to experience it firsthand.”

“From culinary journeys to wellness programs and cultural collaborations, every element is designed to honor Indonesia’s history, celebrate the present, and inspire the future.”

Guests and visitors to the hotel can expect to be afforded the most incredibly luxurious stay at Apurva Kempinski but will also be guided deeper into Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage and invited to explore wonderful Indonesia in a more profound way.

The hotel features 465 rooms, suites, and villas, and over 60% of the rooms and suites offer guests their own private pools. While a stay at the Apurva Kempinski comes with a VVIP price tag, tourists need not check in to Apurva Kempinski to enjoy the luxurious magic of this resort.

The Koral Restaurant is perhaps one of Bali’s most famous fine dining establishments and for those who book a table in advance, this is a culinary experience not to be missed.

The exceptionally well-curated menu has been crafted by One Michelin Star Executive Chef Jean-Baptiste Natali. It is not only the menu that makes dining at Koral Restaurant unique but the setting too.

The restaurant is Bali’s first aquarium dining experience as guests are seated beneath the domed aquarium glass.

In late 2024, the Apurva Kempinski was named Best Sustainable Hotel at the Ultimate Luxury Travel Related Awards, known as the ULTRAs. In a press release published after the big win, Vincent Guironnet expressed his gratitude for the award.

He wrote, “It is an honor for us to be recognized globally as a leader in sustainable hospitality. This achievement is a testament to our unwavering dedication to redefining luxury through a sustainable perspective.”
