At face value, to the uninitiated, Bali may appear to be one island with one universal cultural experience. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth. Bali is, in fact, made up of nine distinct regencies that each have a truly unique culture and landscape of their own.

If you don’t know now Badung Regency by name you’ll certainly know its most famous destinations; Seminyak, Legian, Canggu, Uluwatu and Kuta to name but a few. Badung Regency is the most famous and most populous region of Bali. In stark contrast if Jembrana Regency.
