Bali Tourism Association Proposes The Government Reduces Quarantine Time To 1 Day

The Tourism Association from Bali Tourism Board (BTB) has proposed the central government reduce quarantine time for international visitors to 1 day.

The Head of BTB, Ida Bagus Agung Partha Adnyana stated that despite recently reducing quarantine time for international travelers to 3 days as The Bali Sun previously reported, Adnyana still hopes that the central government would consider adjusting this policy by implementing only 1 day of quarantine to attract more travelers to the island. “We appreciate the recent quarantine policy adjustment, but our tourism benchmark is Thailand’s Phuket Sandbox policy, so I hope it can be reduced to one day,” Adnyana said on Thursday (4/11).

He proposed that the central government could give leniency to international visitors who have completed their full Covid-19 vaccination to boost the economy. “I think one day of quarantine for fully vaccinated tourists is enough, especially those who test negative from Covid-19 with a PCR test upon their arrival at the Bali Ngurah Rai Airport,” Adnyana added.

He also admitted that Bali hotels haven’t received any reservations from international visitors although the border was reopened on October 14th, 2021. Adnyana concluded.

That being said, Adnyana was confused with the latest statement by Bali’s Governor regarding the 20,000 hotel reservations that were allegedly made by international tourists for November 2021. “Our hotels haven’t received any bookings from international tourists, so I don’t have any idea how the governor could make such a statement, his data was not from me. Apart from that, I also think that so far we’ve been targeting the wrong markets for Bali’s tourism reopening.” Adnyana concluded.

Please let's get this happening - we are busting to get over to Bali from Sydney

the problem is not quarantine, the problem is the ludicrous demand of $100,000 in covid medical insurance. that does not exist in any countries that I know of. I asked my insurance company and they said that is not how it works. Yes, of course everyone who travels must have insurance but let it be the way it always has been. Just normal travelers insurance.

The VOA also needs to come back and remove quarantine for travelers. all those in Bali who want to be vaccinated are vaccinated, all those who come must be vaccinated or prove they have natural immunity.

make it easier for people to stay longer than 2 months. let people extend VOA for up to 6 months.

I live in Sweden and have been waiting 2 years to get to Bali, but even now that Sweden is on the travel list I cannot because I cannot get the $100,000 in insurance. I could do a few days of quarantine if that means I get to visit Bali but I can't get insurance that does NOT exist.

please make it easier for people who love Bali and want to get their and spend money to help the local people get their businesses going again.

Hi We are from Australia and booked 4 weeks in four different hotels. We are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and if we have to quarantine on arrival even though we are double vaxed we may have to change our plans and holiday in Thailand. Would be very disappointing as we love Bali. Kind regards Heinrich

All the fully vax are the ones that will not travel, numerous poll findings suggest.

You can't make it safe enough for these people, they want all the restrictions. Barley living a life. Why travel to a hot humid beautiful country and have to restrict your breathing? Madness.

Masks are not shown to be effective indoors, why the hell would you mandate them outdoors?

Bali or any country will not receive that many tourists until all the idiotic restrictions are removed.

Vax still spread the virus. No scientific study shows otherwise.
