According to the data, the first patient who was confirmed with Covid-19 in Bali was an expat. That 53-year-old woman was confirmed positive with Covid-19 on March 11th 2020 and later died while being treated inside Sanglah Public Hospital.

Meanwhile, the Spokesman of Denpasar Covid-19 Handling Task Force, I Dewa Gede Rai explained that virus transmission is still the first concern and still a serious threat although the additional daily new cases are not as bad as before the vaccination program.

He said that the government continues to enforce all protocols in order to reduce transmission, improve the recovery rate and reduce the death from Covid-19.

“We keep enforcing our program such as disinfecting public facilities and educating people using loudspeakers from police cars while asking them to reduce their mobility which gives a higher risk to have contact with other people,” Gede Rai said on Wednesday (10/3).

He also reminds people to comply with the implementation of prevention protocols in their homes to prevent creating a new cluster from the family.
