He also said that he is very optimistic that the events that were planned to be held in Bali such as The G-20 Conference and multiple sports events will be on track. “Apart from the G-20 Conference, sporting events such as the Badminton World Championships and a Youth Championship Soccer Match for several European Football Clubs from Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona is also planned to be held in Bali in December 2021.” Koster added.

Other than that, a National Football League called BRI League 1 that is considered as the biggest football competition in Indonesia is also planned to be held in Bali. However, Koster reminds that all these events can happen if all the requirements to create a safe environment from Covid-19 transmissions are completed. “Before hosting all of these important events, we need to ensure the central government that Covid-19 transmissions, vaccine distribution, tracing and testing methods are properly handled, so our tourism and economy can recover and everyone stays safe.” Koster concluded.

No kidding want visitors don't make people stay in quarantine. I had to for 8 days and cost me $1800 dollars. Despite being vaccinated and testing negative. In addition I was stuck in my room which was no vacation 😡

Being subject to an initial 8 day lock-up won’t attract anyone. We are long accustomed to flying to Bali for a quick extended weekend burst out of our BKK and Singapore offices for some much needed R&R. Anyone working in Thailand or Singers knows how necessary it is to get away from the soul-sucking and money grubbing routine on a regular basis. How can I fly down to Bali for a long weekend holiday in a 5 star luxury hotel if I can only stay in a 5 Star generals lockdown roach-motel? Only longer stay backpackers have that kind of time. Sorry Bali….. you’ve lost us a regular customers. What you propose is exactly backwards of what we your regular “ high quality big spending” customers desire.

@George Stobbs, no quarantine at all. Streamlined process for vaccinated travelers and a negative PCR test. We have to live with this Covid like a seasonal flu.

Several events to be held in Bali in this near future. Will it be a success or a failure?

How would tourists and guests of the events are able to enjoy and contribute to the economy of Bali?? When mandatory quarantine measures hang above their heads.

"You can't eat your cake and have it too"

Adopt a streamlined process for entry. Vaccinated travelers, a negative covid PCR test prior (perhaps day 2 after arrival) and carry a valid covid insurance (perhaps). Just saying...
