All Of Denpasar, Bali Now A ‘Green Zone’ Low Risk Of Covid

Officials from Denpasar Covid-19 Handling Task Force have announced that all Denpasar, Bali are now in the Green Zone and have a low risk of Covid transmission.

The Spokesman of Denpasar Covid-19 Handling Task Force, I Dewa Gede Rai confirmed that all the areas in Denpasar city are finally considered a green zone for the first time since the pandemic first struck in March of 2020.

Covid-19 transmission has been significantly reduced as of Tuesday (23/11), with an average of 2 active Covid-19 cases in every village for a total of 43 villages across Denpasar city.

From a total of 11 villages in East Denpasar Sub-district, 3 villages recorded 3 active cases. From 11 villages in North Denpasar Sub-district, 5 villages recorded 6 active cases, while in West Denpasar and South Denpasar Sub-district, they recorded 6 and 3 active Covid-19 cases. “A total of 27 villages in Denpasar have recorded zero active case as of today.” Dewa Rai said on Tuesday (23/11).

This is however a positive achievement on the Covid-19 handling in Denpasar, but Dewa Rai still warned the people to keep complying with the prevention protocols to prevent another surge on Covid-19 cases in Denpasar. He also explained that all the active Covid-19 patients are currently undergoing a quarantine during their recovery time.

“The rest of those Covid-19 patients are still in the isolation facility, and we really hope that the situation will keep getting better like this.” Dewa Rai concluded.
