Following the success of not one but two entertainment venues in Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur, The Iron Fairies group has set up shop in Bali.

The story behind The Iron Fairies is an interesting one. The venue is the brainchild of Ashley Sutton, who worked in Australia’s mines before leading a more creative life.

Now a children’s book author and designer, Sutton’s latest endeavor in Seminyak is proving that everything he touches really does turn to gold.

The Iron Fairies in Seminyak opened in late 2023 and has quickly caught the attention of tourists from around the world.

This magical entertainment destination is open from 7 pm til late every day. Every night, guests are treated to live music and live DJ sets from some of the finest, most creative, and eccentric artists on the island.

The Iron Fairies Seminyak is inspired by Sutton’s book. Everywhere guests look, a little fairy is hiding, waiting to be seen. The venue is spread over two levels, and guests must make a reservation to secure the best tables in the house.

Exceptional mixology is no understatement. The cocktail menu at The Iron Fairies is breathtaking! Signature Cocktail favorites include ‘Smoke in the Bottles’ featuring strawberry-infused vodka, elderflower sage cordial, lemon creme de basis, and a smoked cinnamon stick. 

The Old School Teacher is another must-try; the cocktail features scotch whiskey, ginger money syrup, and an absinthe spray.

Merlin’s is the only restaurant in the world where the food chooses you; though guests are, of course, welcome to choose their own meals from the a la carte menu. 

The menu caters to every dietary requirement, including gluten-free, dairy-free, and sugar-free. For a little example, the Stonehenge Salad features glazed tempeh, shaved vegetables, crispy taro root, sesame, and a tamari and honey mustard dressing.
