Seminyak remains one of Bali’s most popular tourist destinations. Just a short hop from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International, located ideally between trendy Canggu and classic Kuta, Seminyak offers travelers the quintessential Bali beach getaway. Seminyak is preparing to welcome the return of Four Points by Sheraton, Bali, on the 28th of October after a stunning refurbishment.
General Manager at the Four Points by Sheraton Bali, Seminyak, Amy Lingga, told reporters, ‘We are excited to return to the neighborhood after a long hiatus! With inspiring spaces and experiences combined with the island’s rich cultural heritage and offerings, the hotel is perfectly suited for both leisure and business travelers looking for a space to relax, unwind while staying connected’.
The revamped hotel has been designed to cater to the ‘smart independent’ traveler and the new generation of discerning holidaymakers. The hotel will re-open its doors, offering 121 guest rooms and a range of luxury suites. Complete with wooden floors, in keeping with a traditional Indonesian feel, the style of the hotel incorporates Batik craft and design. From start to finish, the hotel offers guests a traditional Bali experience with all the luxury and finesse of a modern hotel.

The deluxe rooms all come with a terrace or a balcony that offers stunning views of the hotel complex. Room sizes vary to suit every budget, with spaces starting at 37sqm and up to 80sqm. Naturally, the amenities in each room match the hotel’s redesign.
All rooms come with a walk-in shower and a bathtub, a flat-screen TV, and a dedicated workspace. The question on every traveler’s lips, whether they are on the road for work or leisure, is WiFi speeds. Four Points has installed high-speed internet across the hotel, including in the rooms and suites.
The rooms are just the start. Four Points by Sheraton Bali, Seminyak is re-opening with a wonderful new dining experience designed by Executive Chef Rio Hadipuryanto. Guests have an exceptional choice of dining options, including the Devali Restaurant, the Above Rooftop and Lounge Bar, and the swanky Splash Bar.
Devali Restaurant is the hotel’s signature restaurant serving up a stunning menu of Asian Fusion creations. Healthy options are available across menus, as well as lite bites and snacks. At the Splash Bar, guests can explore a range of cocktails while jamming out to the perfect hotel playlist.
Guests also have access to the 24-hour fitness center and the gorgeous tropical gardens. The Aswangga Wellness Spa will be offering a range of traditional Indonesian wellness treatments and classic spa experiences.
The reopening hotel is located in the heart of Seminyak, just a short walk and even shorter hop in a taxi to some of Bali’s hottest venues, restaurants, and bars. Bali-owned and operated Potato Head Beach Club is just a 7-minute drive or 20-minute stroll through central Seminyak.
Other super popular designations in Seminyak include ShiShi Nightclub and Izakaya Lounge, Ke De Ta, and Mano Beach House. As areas like Canggu continue to boom in popularity, areas like Seminyak offer a happy medium for holidaymakers who want to have the choice to join in with the party scene, relax at the accommodation or explore the island’s unique culture and landscapes.
As Indonesia announces the second home visa, allowing foreigners with $130,000 in the bank a 10-year temporary residence status, areas like Seminyak will receive another influx of people. As digital nomads have wandered further west to Canggu, house prices and rental accommodation costs have soared.
Digital nomads looking for the Canggu experience for perhaps a slightly lower rental price may find luck in Seminyak. Though according to property developers in Bali, the market rates will only increase in the next 5-years.

As long as digital nomads stay North of Jimbaran, life in Bali would be better off. The real estate value could remain at a stable market price down in southern Bali. Nevertheless, the surfers can still enjoy the peaceful laid back life in Uluwatu and it's pristine surroundings.

Visited Seminyak earlier this week. Run down buildings, side walks etc post covid. Horrendous traffic, pollution and noise. Prices at the restaurant I visited almost 100% above "normal". Guess some folks prefer it this way as it was very crowded.

I contacted my visa agent yesterday and he told me that the amount of dollars needed is $200,000 not $130,000 as reported. He said Wait, the visa is not settled and it will be made better.

@Karen North, USD 130,000 or AUD 200,000 I guess to be deposited into a local state owned bank as IDR 2 Milyar.
