Hotels in Nusa Dua have recorded a 182 percent growth in their collective hotel occupancy rate during the first quarter of 2022.
The Managing Director of Nusa Dua, I Gusti Ngurah Ardita confirmed that the occupancy rate of the hotels has significantly increased. This is in comparison with the data from the same period in 2021.
“We’re so grateful that our hotel occupancy rate during the Q1 of 2022 is positive compared to the data from the same period last year.” Ardita said on Friday (15/4).
From January to March 2022, Nusa Dua received 60,388 guests, with an average occupancy rate of 21.23%.
“This rate has increased compared to last year, with only 26,913 guests during the first quarter,” Ardita added. He explained that this increase began since domestic travelers became less reluctant to travel at the end of 2021.
Although the situation is still far from normal, Ardita was optimistic that things will keep on getting better as the international travelers start to visit the island since the government resumed the visa on arrival program and dropped the quarantine policy.
There are 21 hotels that are located within the Nusa Dua area, and 18 of them have resumed operations as of March 2022.

@Lee, how much do you all earn in Australia not able to pay a simple PCR test? Ask your bureaucrats to decrease the cost then...don't blame for entry requirements by the Indonesians beacuse your own government sets the price.

Could you please tell me the latest on the mask rules in Bali. I’m Melbourne we have no restrictions on masks. Given the hot weather in Bali it would be unfair for us to wear them as we have been triple vaccinated and we have to show proof of this before flying

@Rob, to quote the CDC's research on the issue: Masks substantially reduce exhale respiratory droplets and aerosols from infected wearers and reduce exposure of uninfected wearers to these particles.
Unfair or not. Hot or not follow the rules in a foreign country.

An average of <40 guests per day per hotel. These guys are ultimate spin doctors. It’s a start but a long ways from normal. Address the elephant in the room. Get rid of all mandates and promote to the world you are 100% back to normal. Maybe by 2030 the damage will be undone.

@Mat, don't be a selfish individual. You remain unvaccinated mutation occurs. If you have the antibodies because of a previous infection you can still hold on...no guarantee.

@Randy, "do your part"? You call getting vaxxed "doing my part"? Bro, really, its 2022, April. How can you still be so protective when talking about getting vaxxed? Gosh, I thought everybody already realised the truth behind this "get vaxxed process".
Gues I was wrong. Good luck with your life, Randy. In any field :D

@Michael, it's a start somewhere but maybe you should do your part if you are still unvaxxed.
Go read "study shows 99% on Indonesia's most populous island have covid antibodies" on US yahoo news. About 60% of it's 270 million citizens have been vaccinated. This may explain the faster rate at which OMICRON variant infections declined in Indonesia.
