Students Prohibited From Talking To Each Other During In-Person Class In Bali

Bali officials have prohibited students from talking to each other during the in-person classes that have recently started in Denpasar.

The Head of the Denpasar Educational Youth and Sports Office, AA Gede Wiratama, confirmed that policies had been implemented for the in-person classes that started on Monday (4/4). These classes are for elementary and junior high school students across Denpasar city.

During the first two weeks of these resumed in-person classes, officials will only allow schools to operate at 50 percent of their capacity.

“We will start the in-person classes at a 50 percent capacity for the next 2 weeks, but we might operate at full capacity if we don’t find any problem within this probation period,” Wiratama said.

Students are prohibited from talking to each other during the lunch break to prevent potential virus transmission. Parents are also banned from waiting for their children within the school facilities.

They are only allowed to pick up their kids at the end of the school day, and they should directly go home without going anywhere after school. “All these restrictions are implemented to ensure the safety and health of our students,” Wiratama concluded.

Each student must get their temperature checked, wash their hands, and wear face masks before entering the school building.
