Bali Authorities Officially Ban Night Clubs From Hosting Big Party Events

Authorities from Bali’s Covid-19 Handling Task Force have officially banned all Bali nightclubs from hosting party events during the current partial level 2 lockdown in Bali.

After previously being warned by the Maritime and Investment Minister, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan regarding the implementation of prevention protocols at Bali night clubs and beach clubs as The Bali Sun previously reported, Bali authorities have responded by banning all nightclubs from hosting party events.

The Secretary of Bali’s Covid-19 Handling Task Force, I Made Rentin confirmed that authorities will pay more attention to the tourism businesses that are potentially neglecting prevention protocols during their operations. “We are in line with the central government to ban party events as it could potentially gather many people in a concentrated area. So we were asked to pay more attention to any nightclub activity in Bali.” Rentin said on Thursday (11/11).

He also explained that the government has instructed several institutions such as the  Bali Public Civil Service and Bali Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) to regularly inspect the implementation of this policy. Rentin admitted that he has been rejecting several requests from Bali hotels to hold party events. “Some hotels sent us letters, asking for permission to hold parties, but we have turned them down as instructed by the central government,” Rentin concluded.
