Officials have announced that all Bali regions have officially turned into a Covid-19 epidemiological orange zone.
The Secretary of the Bali Covid-19 Handling Task Force, I Made Rentin confirmed that all nine regions in the province of Bali have turned into an epidemiological orange zone area of Covid-19 transmissions as of Thursday (9/9). “With a total of 101,072 recoveries from Covid, the risk of Covid transmission in Bali has decreased and they are officially considered as an epidemiological orange zone as of today.” Rentin said on Thursday (9/9) in Denpasar.
All Bali regions have recently reported updates about recovered Covid-19 patients in their areas such as in Jembrana (30 patients), Denpasar (79 patients), Karangasem (14 patients), Buleleng (38 patients), Gianyar (96 patients), Klungkung (3 patients), Badung (82 patients), and Tabanan (62 patients).
Rentin was thankful that Bali has successfully reduce the risk of Covid-19 transmissions that has been surging in the last several months, especially in six Bali regions such as Denpasar, Badung, Tabanan, Buleleng, Karangasem and Klungkung that were previously considered red zone areas. However, Rentin still encourages the community to keep limiting their mobility and avoid creating a crowd to prevent Covid-19 cases from surging, especially during this level 4 partial lockdown implementation on the island.

Its really good that things are improving. Every ittle step towards normality is apreciated. But to remain realistic, as thailand shows, return to high levels of tourism will only happen, when all restriction will back to zero. As soon as this will happen, I am back.

@Bali Traveller, dream on...vaccinated travelers may be able to enter. Science works. Most "healthy" vaccinated people have been known to be protected from severe illness, and even a breakthrough infection will result in mild symptoms or none at all.
Indonesia had maintained a balance between a partial lockdown and the economy running. Indonesia posted record breaking trade surplus in August 2021. But Bali may not have received the economic advantage of other regions.
Nonethess aggressive Vaccination program has helped maintain infection rate down. Like it or not.

Is it a coincidence that several “red hot” Covid zones around Asia have suddenly announced opening for tourism? Pho Quoc, Langkawi, Bali, Phuket etc? Using similar terms like “decreasing cases” in the same sentence as “ alarming rise” are confusing…..which is it.,.’alarming rise’ or decreasing’? Frankly, I’m alarmed at the rising case numbers that indicate lockdowns have failed to stop the deadly Delta Variant from spreading and local governments have thrown in the towel and given up. I’d like to point out that people have become increasingly complacent with the daily case and daily death numbers. Do the math ….200 dead each day is not a small manageable number !! 200 X 30 days is 6000 people dead every single month !! 15,000 new daily cases every day is 450,000 new cases every month !! This thing is worse than you realize and governments are not even close to getting Covid under control. 6000 deaths every month equal 72000 dead in the past year !!!

@Mike A, good luck. Science works if you put your mind to it.
Most “healthy” vaccinated people have been known to be protected from severe illness, and even a breakthrough infection will result in mild symptoms or none at all. No 100% vaccine proved effective at preventing illness. That's according to CDC as well.

@Mike A, Likely not. The “ Sealed Route” approach is what’s being applied overall. There is no talk of open tourism. Instead, tourists will be herded in vaccinated and tested groups around from government approved hotel to “tourist attraction” in tight groups where they have zero contact points with locals.
