Negara Public Hospital has temporarily closed down an isolation room that they have been using to treat symptomatic Covid-19 patients.
The Director of Negara Public Hospital, Dr. Ni Putu Eka Indrawati said that from the two isolation rooms that the hospital has, Indrawati decided to temporarily close down one of the rooms. “The additional Covid-19 cases in the last two weeks has significantly reduced, especially the patients who have symptoms.” said Dr. Indrawati on Wednesday (31/3).
But she also explained that she would reopen the facility if the situation changes. “It’s just a temporary closure, we will reopen it if necessary.” Indrawati added. The medical staff who used to work in that isolation room were sent back to the hospitals they previously worked at before the pandemic struck. Dr. Indrawati also said that are still 9 patients who are confirmed with Covid and still in isolation, as well as 1 in the ICU due to severe symptoms.
“The people who were suspected with Covid-19 are still waiting for their swab test results. But I really hope that the Covid cases in Jembrana will keep reducing in the future.” Dr. Indrawati concluded. The overall Covid cases in Jembrana are 2,189 infected with 2,081 recoveries and 72 deaths. Currently there are 36 people that are being isolated in several hospitals, clinics and hotels in the Jembrana region.
