The Head of South Denpasar Police Department, Kompol Citra Fatwa Rahmadani explained that after receiving a report regarding the incident, officers immediately arrived at the location on Wednesday morning.
It didn’t take long for the officers to find the perpetrator, the victim’s ex-boyfriend (initials LP).
He was arrested the same day at 10:30am at his boarding house in Jalan Taman Baruna, Jimbaran.
The perpetrator, identified as an Indonesian national from Papua, admitted that he murdered his ex-girlfriend on Wednesday morning.
Following interrogation, LP claimed he arrived at the victim’s home to apologize for not returning her motorbike after she recently ended their relationship.
The perpetrator said that he prepared a knife in his pocket to “protect himself” in case Andriana tried to hurt him.

Upon seeing her ex-boyfriend, Simeonova told him to leave. He became angry and stabbed her using the knife.
The perpetrator admitted that he hadn’t accepted that Simeonova decided to break up with him.
“The case is still being investigated, and we’re trying to collect more information from the witnesses and other evidence,” said the Head of Denpasar Criminal Investigation Bureau, Kompol Dewa Anom Danujaya on Wednesday (20/1).
