Two Turkish nationals have finally been detained by the Bali Police Office after attempting to resist arrest at a petrol station in Denpasar.
According to information from a witness, prior to the arrest several undercover police officers were already at the petrol station that is located on Jalan Imam Bonjol, Denpasar on Sunday early morning (30/5). However, the police had not announced an official statement regarding their identity until today.
The two suspects were being targeted by the police after allegedly skimming several ATM machines in Bali. Thankfully the suspects were arrested by the police on Monday (31/5) around 1:48am. The Director of Criminal Investigation Bureau from Bali Police Department, Kombes Yuliar Kus Nugroho confirmed that both suspects attempted to resist arrest by assaulting the officers, but luckily dozens of officers managed to handle the situation quickly.

During their operation, the suspects had been targeting ATMs that were placed in the area where there’s not many people around such as petrol stations and the side of the road. Kombes Nugroho explained that he will release official information about this case shortly. “We will release an official statement regarding this case in the next couple of days.” Kombes Nugroho concluded.
