Bali is the place to snap up bargain deals right now.

With the Hari Raya Idul Fitri holiday well underway, shops and malls across the province are hosting mega sales, offering incredible discounts on everything from clothing to homeware, tech, and wellness.

The Hari Raya Idul Fitri holiday in Indonesia will be observed until the 15th of April.

During this time, much of the country is taking its annual leave, with offices and businesses closing their doors so staff can enjoy some much-earned family time.

While Bali may be portrayed in some tourist imagery as a destination that is not built up or has no commercial center worth visiting, nothing could be further from the truth.

Bali is home to some incredible shopping malls, local favorite stores, and big international brands, and Eid deals just keep coming.

Speaking to reporters, the General Manager of Living World Mall in Denpasar, Maria Lucia Lazuardi, explained, “We estimate that the Eid holiday will encourage shopping tourism to increase by 30-50% compared to normal days.”

All of Bali’s big malls, including Level 21 in Denpasar, the Bali Galeria Mall in Kuta, Beachwalk Kuta, and Trans Studio Mall Denpasar, are all offering mega discounts, epic savings, and laying on special community events during the Eid Holiday.

With more wet weather predicted over the next few days, a trip to the mall in Bali is a really fun day out, even for those who don’t fancy shopping. The food courts at Indonesian shopping malls are seriously impressive.

You can find everything from classic Indonesian and Balinese street food to bubble tea, bakeries, big international fast food chains, and healthier salad bars, too.

To incentivize shoppers further, the Bali Galeria Mall is giving away special gifts for every purchase of over IDR 500,000.

The Bali Galeria Mall is considered to be Bali’s premium luxury brand shopping mall.

The mall is also home to big international brands like Nike, the Bali flagship store at the Galeria Mall, as well as a huge H&M and Zara.

Sports brands like Adidas can also be found at Galeria Mall. Shoppers love visiting Galeria in the heart of Kuta for brands like Levi’s, Calvin Klein, Sephora, and Mango.

However, for real bargains, be sure to cross over the street to visit the World Brand Factory Outlet.

Situated just opposite Bali Galeria Mall is a huge factory outlet store selling top surf, skate, and sports brands like Billabong, Converse, Sketchers, Merrill, Rebook, Roxy, Quicksilver, and more.

Be sure to find a safe crossing to reach the World Brand Factory Outlet from Galeria Mall, as although situated opposite each other; the busy Bypass Ngurah Rai runs between the two outlets.

Frequent visitors to Bali will already be familiar with Beachwalk Kuta.

This is after Bali Galeria Mall, the most popular mall in Bali with international tourists, and with good reason.

With brands like Pandora, Swarovski, Guess, Victoria’s Secret, and favs like Nike, H&M, Adidas, and Levi’s all in one place, tourists looking for some holiday deals always make a visit to Beachwalk Mall.

It’s perfectly located on the Kuta Beachfront, and tourists who want to meet new people, local and tourists alike, should head down to the basketball courts at Beachwalk Mall around sunset, join in with a game or two, or just watch the gang play. It gets pretty competitive but is always good fun.

While some tourists may enjoy getting massive deals on international brands, others will be keen to buy souvenirs and goods that have more of a Bali feel. In this case, heading to Ubud is the best bet.

The streets of Ubud are lined with many more independent brands and clothing stores, not to mention Ubud Art Market. The dream! Both Canggu and Uluwatu are the places to head to shop for boutique fashion designers specializing in the famous boho-chic Bali look and more.

Even with the so called discounts prices are not 'bargains'.

I doubt very many tourists with access to giant malls and "int'l brands" at home want to buy the same stuff here that they can get anywhere else...we are more interested in locally produced products, things we can't get at home, special things that reflect the culture of Bali and Indonesia. Not mass produced "luxury items" that are over-priced everywhere and lack anything unique about them.

@baliblest, It was reported pre-covid that around 70% of the souvenirs for sale in Bali actually are made in China. So better check that "locally made" items are really made in Bali.

Did it swirl off somewhere else? It's perfectly calm and clear here right now.

@Benito,

Yes on the beach, street, warungs and markets this is common.

In fairness most merchandise in the flagship stores in the malls is genuine.

@Benito, definitely applies to the "luxury watches" available on Bali. Check the spelling on the watch face. It probably says "Bolex"!!!!
