President Joko Widodo officially received the first shot of COVID-19 vaccine in Indonesia this morning (13/1) at the National Palace.
Following the President, many other government officials took the injection the same day.
The vaccination process consists of four stages of medical examinations and registration:
1. Registration and data verification
2. Blood pressure test
3. Injecting vaccine
4. Observing reaction of 30 minutes post injection
The vaccine was inoculated by the Deputy Chief of Presidential Doctor, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mutalhib.
“I didn’t feel anything,” said President Jokowi when Dr. Mutalhib asked how it felt.
The doctor completed the process by covering the injected area with a band-aid.
The vaccination was held at the National Palace in Jalan Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta, and the live video was published through the official President Secretary YouTube Channel.
