One Person Injured After A Vehicle Roll Over In Kuta

A car has rolled in Kuta after crashing into a road barrier, resulting in serious injuries for the passenger.

The Head of the Denpasar Traffic, Officer Kompol Taufan Rizaldy confirmed that the incident occurred on Jalan Bypass Ngurah Rai, Kuta on Wednesday evening (11/8) around 10:00 pm. “The car that was driven by 22-year-old Putri Ika with a 21-year-old man named AA Ngurah Bagus Rama riding passenger has rolled over and crashed. After allegedly losing control over the vehicle on Bypass Ngurah Rai on Wednesday evening.” Kompol Rizaldy said.

Prior to the incident, Ika was driving the car coming from the south at normal speeds. Unfortunately, when she drove past the location, Ika began losing control over the vehicle and then crashed into the road barrier which caused the vehicle to roll over and block traffic.  Many by-passers stopped and attempted to evacuate both victims from the car while reporting the incident to the police.

    The driver managed to get out of the car unharmed while the passenger had to be rushed to a nearby hospital for allegedly suffering serious injuries from the incident. “The driver was okay, but the passenger was rushed to Siloam Hospital due to serious injury to his left leg.  The victim has lost an estimated USD 700 (IDR 10 million) from the incident.” Kompol Rizaldy concluded. A video of the incident has also gone viral on social media as many people were shocked and worried if the victim would survive from the accident.
