Officials from the Denpasar city government have started to inspect the implementation of prevention protocols in accommodation businesses in the area.
The authorities began their inspection in a hotel in Kesiman Kertalangu Denpasar on Thursday (10/2). They checked the implementation of all Covid prevention protocols, such as PeduliLindungi app utilization, hand sanitizer availability, hand washing station, and temperature checking.
The officials confirmed that the hotel has properly complied with all the government’s regulations concerning their operations under partial lockdown level 3.
“The hotel has been implementing the protocols well, as we’ve seen ourselves that the meeting room was occupied with only 20 percent of its capacity when we inspected,” said the Head of Denpasar Public Civil Service Officer, AA Ngurah Bawa Nendra.
Nendra ensured that similar inspections would be regularly conducted in all restaurants and hotels, especially during the current wave of Covid-19 transmission in Bali.
“We will ensure that all businesses also comply with the 9:00 pm curfew during this partial lockdown level 3. We will also conduct regular operations to enforce the mask-wearing policy in all public areas across the city,” Nendra concluded.
Violations will be fined in accordance with the Bali Provincial and Denpasar City Government’s Regulation about the Implementation of Covid-19 Prevention Protocols.

Maybe they can also inspect the hygiene in the kitchens and the bathrooms. Most Bali hotels and restaurants need this urgently! As a guest/customer you do not want to see how it looks like behind the curtains.
