More details about the new Anantara Ubud Bali Resort have been revealed.
The resort complex situated in the village of Banjar Puhu will be a new addition to the luxury hotel market and will open its doors to guests on the 1st of October, 2024.
The Anantara Ubud Bali Resort will be home to eighty-five modern, light, and perfectly curated suites and private pool villas.
This is in addition to fifteen branded residences that have been built nestled into the verdant hillsides of Banjar Puhu.
Located close enough to Ubud for guests to feel a part of the hustle and bustle should they choose, but sited within the comforting tranquility of the Gianyar forests, the Anantara Ubud Bali Resort will offer guests complete balance in more ways than one.
New details confirm that the suites will span over 53 square meters each and are surrounded by tropical jungle, and the gentle flow of the river below will offer a full sensory experience ideal for those who want to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with nature and themselves.
At Anantara Ubud Bali Resort, the one and two-bedroom villas will each feature a private infinity pool to add to the luxurious and exclusive feel of the retreat.
Anantara says, “We invite you to retreat, unwind, and bathe in the glow of nature. Surrounded by lush rice fields and rainforest, the days here are tranquil, greeting the sunrise with yoga, floating in the pool overlooking Mt. Agung, and embarking on exceptional culinary and spa journeys.”
The hotel is located a 2.5-hour drive from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, and airport transfers are available for booking directly with the hotel.
Once checked in, guests need not venture beyond the confines of the resort; retreat should be the order of the day.
With a fantastic array of leisure facilities available to guests, every wish and demand will surely be catered for.
Anantara Ubud Bali Resort will feature two heated swimming pools for guests to use whenever they like, in addition to the private infinity pools available to guests who have booked one and two-bedroom suites.
The hotel is also family-friendly and will be managing its guest spaces so that all travelers have the experience of their dreams.
One heated swimming pool will be adults only, and the second will be family-friendly. The Kid’s Club will be open seven days a week and will include a huge selection of activities for little ones based on their ages and interests.
Of course, the culinary options at Anantara Ubud Bali Resort are first-class. The signature eatery AMERTA will serve local dishes cooked in a wood-fired oven, and over in KIRANA, healthy, nutritious, and locally inspired breakfasts will be served.
A sense of occasion will be served at SULANG, along with sweeping views of the valley and incredible cocktail selections. The Lobby Lounge will be designated for all-day coffee hangouts and afternoon tea, too.
The Anantara Ubud Bali Resort is not the only new accommodation the international hotel group will be opening on the Island of the Gods in the near future.
It was confirmed back in May that Anantara has partnered with Taryan Development Group to establish the Anantara Dragon Seseh Bali Resort.
The beachfront resort has been at the center of much local controversy after local communities and Bali lovers expressed concerns that a huge hotel development in the quiet village of Seseh would irreparably change the cultural and physical environment of the area.
Speaking at a press conference, the founder and owner of Taryan Group, Artur Mkhitaryan, suggested that the hotel will include essential elements of Balinese architecture.
He said, “The combination of the distinctive architecture and design of our cocoon residences, elevated by the Anantara signature hospitality, will offer guests and owners extraordinary experiences that celebrate Bali’s natural beauty and culture.”

This is nowhere near Ubud - it is north of Tegallang ! 20 km from Ubud. With Bali traffic and the roads around Ubud being some of the most congested in Bali allow an hour or more to get there 🤔

I once stayed at a hillside resort, but after spotting huge cracks everywhere I checked out. These hillside resorts are not for me.
