Authorities from the Klungkung police department destroyed hundreds of loud mufflers and illegal liquor bottles seized in 2021.

The Head of the Klungkung Police Department, AKBP I Made Dhanuardana, confirmed that they destroyed hundreds of loud mufflers from illegal street racing and dozens of illegal liquor bottles seized from local vendors without a permit on Wednesday (23/12).

“We destroyed 116 loud mufflers seized in 2021 by grinding them,” AKBP Dhanuardana said.

Dhanuardana explained that most of the mufflers were seized from the illegal street racers who drove around the Bypass Lepang area. “

Hundreds of mufflers and four modified motorbikes were seized from illegal street racers. They usually race around Jalan Ida Bagus Mantra, near Bypass Lepang.” Dhanuardana added.

The police also destroyed 18 bottles of imported liquors from several different stalls in Klungkung. The vendors could not show legal permits allowing them to sell those items.

“In anticipation of other violations in our area, we plan to intensify our operation by regularly patrolling the area, especially on Saturday nights,” AKBP Dhanuardana concluded.
