If you were to ask anyone in Bali where the biggest and best parties are, many would jump to say Canggu.
It’s easy to see why, home to some of the island’s biggest venues and beach clubs, Canggu is easily the destination of choice for travelers who want to party in Bali.
Yet, the party scene in Bali is far-reaching.
In Kuta, travelers and ex-pats will find dozens of sports bars serving up ‘bloody cold’ beers to suit the Aussie palette.
In Seminyak, travelers will find world-class nightclubs and luxury restaurants galore.
Even in yoga-central Ubud, there are plenty of laid-back cocktail bars and ecstatic dance events to party the night away. If travelers are to head a little further down the Bukit Peninsula, they will stumble across Bali’s most up-and-coming party scene.
Welcome to Uluwatu.
Overlooking the breathtaking Indian Ocean, the cliffs of Uluwatu are fast becoming the next biggest destination in Bali. Up until the mid-1970s, the Bukit Peninsula and Uluwatu specifically were regarded as dangerous places by local communities.
As the area was considered unsuitable for living, the Bukit Peninsula became a place for outlaws to be banished.
In 1972 coast of Uluwatu was discovered by the surfing community as one of the most challenging and exciting breaks in the world. Slowly but surely, from that day forth, Uluwatu and the Bukit Peninsula have become evermore popular with tourists.

Really though, it has been in the last 7-8 years that Uluwatu has undergone a major shift in tourism development.
It is now home to some of the most exclusive villas on the island and some of the best beach clubs and entertainment venues in all of Indonesia.
While the lure of Canggu feels ever stronger for travelers looking for the party of their life, many would be wise to take a look at what Uluwatu has to offer.

Savaya Bali
Savaya Bali is one of the most highly regarded beach clubs in Bali.
Savaya is not only adored for its excellent service and luxurious feel but the incredible lineup of international artists that headline nearly every weekend of the year.
Savaya Bali has hosted the likes of Grammy Award Winning Black Coffee, Rufus Du Sol, and legendary DJ Jamie Jones.

Ulu Cliffhouse
Exuding luxury, Ulu Cliffhouse has a bohemian-chic feel and an equally electric playlist to set the perfect vibe.
The jam-packed events calendar features top DJs and live music sets every weekend. Ulu Cliffhouse offers guests not only the chance to play but to stay.
Ulu Cliffhouse is of the few beach clubs in Bali that have accommodation available, so party-goers don’t have far to flop into bed after a night of revelry.
Sundays Beach Club
Sundays Beach Club is one of Bali’s most lavish beach club experiences, with VIP experiences galore. Guests can hire out their own exclusive sun deck or VIP bungalow to enjoy not only the view but Sunday’s extensive cocktail menu.
The Ocean Bar menu features signature and classic cocktails, craft beers, and a wonderful selection of international wines to sip as the sun shines brightly over the Bukit.
Single Fin
Single Fin has long been a mainstay of Uluwatu’s surf scene. The bar is now one of the busiest and most vibrant spots in Uluwatu, serving as a chilled post-surf hangout and reliable party venue hosting live music regularly. Single Fin starts filling up just before sunset as the crowds gather to watch the stars come out. During live events, the energy at Single Fin is electric and certainly not to be missed.
El Kabron and Oneeighty Beach Club both deserve an honorable mention for hosting some of the hottest parties in Bali. As Uluwatu becomes increasingly popular, frequent visitors to the area are already voicing their concerns that Uluwatu may fast become the new ‘concrete jungle’ of Bali, eventually replacing Canggu as it becomes the new Kuta. For now, however, Uluwatu is home to some of the most exclusive and luxurious party venues in Bali that are certainly not to be overlooked.

Some of this clubs like Savaya has minimum spend that cab best be categorized as not "cost effective" and you will have to deal with the potential violent taxi mafia when leaving the venue. 25km from Sanur or Seminyak. Good luck.
