A drug dealer identified as I Nyoman Teri Ariana has been rearrested two months after serving a 5-year sentence for a similar crime.
The Head of Denpasar Narcotics Criminal Investigation I, AKP Sutriono, confirmed that the man was rearrested not long after finishing a 5-year imprisonment for drug dealing. He was caught with several packages of illegal drugs and a firearm that he bought from an inmate in prison.
“The suspect admitted that he bought the firearm from another inmate named Step for USD $1,048 (IDR 15 million),” AKP Sutriono said.
The suspect finished his 5-year imprisonment in November 2021. He was rearrested in Jalan Resimuka Barat, West Denpasar on January 14th.
The police caught him with three pills of ecstasy, 26.37 grams of meth, and a firearm with nine bullets.
The suspect admitted that he had ordered the illegal drugs from a fugitive named Ketut for USD $2,098 (IDR 30 million) and planned to distribute them to make a profit.
He will face a potential life sentence or 20 years of imprisonment and USD $559,000 (IDR 8 billion) for violating several constitutions.
