COVID-19 Recovery Rate Outpacing New Infection Rate In Bali

According to the Bali Covid-19 Handling Task Force as of Oct 30th 2020, 65 new cases were recorded while the number of recovered patients almost doubled the infection rate reaching 108.

3 more people have lost their lives from COVID-19 bringing the total to 387 deaths. 

There have been 11,764 cases of COVID-19 in Bali since the pandemic began.

90.17% of all patients with COVID-have now recovered. Head of Bali Daily Covid-19 Handling Task Force, Dewa Made Indra said that the total active Covid-19 case as of today Oct 31st 2020 is 766 patients (6.54%).

“All the patients are being treated in 17 different hospitals and 4 different quarantine houses” Made Indra said at the daily press conference

Authorities are reminding the public to follow all prevention protocols or face fines of USD $6.70 (IDR 100,000) for an individual or USD $67 (IDR 1 million) for businesses.

“This fight against this Pandemic is the responsibility of all of us, not only the provincial government. Otherwise our economy would fall even deeper into crisis if we don’t enforce those rules,” Made Indra added.

To prevent creating new clusters of COVID-19, authorities are limiting known activities that potentially create new clusters such as religious ceremonies.

The task force ended the press conference with a plea to the public to follow all health and prevention protocols so that the pandemic will be over as soon as possible.
