Leonie Bos Musice Event At The Dome

The Dome is Bali’s first 360-degree immersive audiovisual space. The space spans over 600 square meters and features a projection system of 192,000 lumens of projection brilliance.

The Dome, which opened in November 2024, now regularly hosts live performances of Bhuwana Agung: Bali Mystic to Life.

The show is “a groundbreaking exploration of Balinese culture and spirituality. This innovative production reimagines traditional Balinese performing arts within a contemporary international theater framework, blending avant-garden and physical theatre with cutting-edge technology.”

The Dome has been created as a venue to help bring together digital art, architecture, and ecological awareness, as well as being a platform to promote the cultural arts, immersive storytelling, and intimate sound-let journeys. Created by the Labyrinth Collective, the venue is committed to supporting Balinese culture and playing a role in environmental preservation. Labyrinth Collective, “5% of gross revenue towards local impact projects to the environment and communities until ROI, then 50% of profit.”

The venue is also a space where international artists can bring their talents to share with the Bali community; local, expat and tourist alike. On Saturday 1st March 2025 The Dome will present Leonie Bos and The Medicine. The four hour event will take attendees through a journey of visual storytelling, vocal expression, and sound healing.

Leonie Bos, originally from The Netherlands, is a singer, songwriter and soulful storyteller. Since the age of 15 she has been on a journey guided by sound and over the course of her life music has served as a powerful catalyst her own healing and transformation, and that of those around her. Through her new documentary The Medicine, Bos explores more deeply the power of music as a medicine for unity and self expression.

The evening will begin with an exclusive premier screening of the documentary The Medicine. The screening will be introduced by the film’s director, Canggu local Sarah Dienaar.

Dienaar has shared insights from her own creative process and inspirations for working with Bos on such a personally important project. The Dutch-born director shared “From a young age, I felt a strong connection to music.”

“It was only when I started experiencing sound and voice as healing that I reconnected with myself and my creative expression, after years of struggle.”

She added “I strongly felt that this medicine needed to be shared with the world. When I met Leonie, it quickly became clear that she was the perfect person for it. On a deeply personal level, Leonie’s journey reflects my own as a filmmaker. I’ve long struggled with a forced need for recognition and paralyzing perfectionism. While Leonie’s story is specifically about a singer’s evolution, many people will recognize themselves in it. This makes the story both personal and universal.”

For decades Bos has been sharing her music as, in part, a battle cry for individuals to use their unique voice to promote unity and healing. As inspired by music being a medicine for all, the final part of the evening will be an opportunity for attendees to experience the power of music and vocal expression in a deeper way.

Under the trusted and experienced guidance of Bos, attendees will be invited to join the Inner Voice Journey. An opportunity for attendees to experience in real time the power of their own voices and how music can serve as a catalyst for change and transformation in their own lives, should they choose to listen to it.

The evening will culminate with a live concert featuring the mesmerizing voice and sacred music of Leonie Bos, accompanied by live music from talented Balinese musicians. As the music plays, the audience will be immersed in a 360-degree visual display within The Dome itself.

Tickets for The Medicine: A Soul Journey Through Sounds, Healing and Expression Staring Leonie Bos are available on Megatix.
