The current Covid-19 vaccine distribution in three appointed green zone areas is expected to be completed by next week.
The Vice Governor of Bali, Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati (Cok Ace) said that the distribution of the Covid vaccine in Ubud, Sanur and Nusa Dua is almost complete. “The vaccination program in those three areas is expected to be completely finished by next week.” said Cok Ace when he inspected the Covid-19 vaccine distribution for the bank workers in Denpasar on Saturday (3/4).
Cok Ace also explained that 100% of Ubud residents have already received the vaccine, while in Nusa Dua 80% from the total population of 86,000 were vaccinated and they’re expected to finish the vaccine distribution by the 9th of April 2021. Other than those two appointed areas, Sanur is also expected to finish the vaccination program by Sunday (4/4). Cok Ace really appreciates the enthusiasm of the people to join the vaccination program in Bali so far.
He’s also optimistic that this achievement will give hope to the people in Bali while we’re all waiting for the border to reopen. “I hope the international travel arrangement will be implemented as we expect in July of this year.” Cok Ace concluded. Apart from the green zone areas, the Head of the Bank of Indonesia for Bali, Trisno Nugroho urged the government to also prioritize bank workers to receive the Covid vaccine as they might have some contact with customers during their operation.
