Music lovers heading to Bali have numerous opportunities to connect with both the Indonesian and international music scenes during a visit to the island.
From nightly cultural dance performances to superstar international DJs playing at world-class beach clubs, Bali is a haven for music lovers.

From top beach clubs to laid-back beachfront sets played by local acoustic singers, music is life in Bali and across Indonesia. For tourists looking for something a little different to add to their upcoming itinerary, the Soundtuari Festival could be a great place to look.
Indonesia is celebrating the first-ever Soundtuari Festival that is set to be hosted on Bali’s neighboring island of Gili Air from 5th – 8th September 2025. The festival is bringing together an incredible lineup of Indonesian artists and international musicians to celebrate life, love, and good vibes on the magical island of Gili Air.
Gili Air is one of the three Gili Islands that sit off the coast of Lombok in West Nusa Tenggara. For decades, a visit to the Gili Islands has featured high on the bucket list musts for Bali travellers, despite technically being located outside of the province.
With fast boat services connecting travellers from both Sanur Harbor and Padangbai Port in Bali to the Gili Islands multiple times a day, it is as easy as can be to not only tick off a bucket list adventure, but also to be able to say that you visited more than one Indonesian province during your trip.
The upcoming Soundtuari Festival will be hosted on Gili Air, which has long been deemed to be the happy medium of the three Gili Islands. Gili Trawangan is famous around the world for being a backpacker party island, and this reputation has only grown in the last few years.
On the other hand, Gili Meno is best known for its completely relaxed vibe and is loved by many as a spot to retreat and disconnect while soaking up paradise island life completely.
Gili Air, though situated as the easternmost of the three islands, vibe-wise is the happy middle place.
Offering just the right amount of calm and relaxation and offering plenty of activities to keep busy minds and bodies occupied on vacation, Gili Air is an obvious choice to host an incredible new music festival.
The Soundtuari Festival is a pretty exclusive event, with only 5,000 tickets available for the whole 3-day event.
Ticket holders can look forward to jazz and blues performers, a dedicated reggae stage, a world music stage, a national DJ stage celebrating cutting-edge Indonesian dance music, and an international DJs stage.

Attendees will not only have access to world-class music events but also the spectacular natural landscape of Gili Air and West Nusa Tenggara culture.
According to festival founders Marcelia Leser and Fuji Rama, the event is an initiative of “PT. Garda Utama Edukasi, together with the Ministry of Tourism, Wonderful Indonesia, and the NTB Provincial Government, to promote NTB’s tourism, culture, and creative economy to the international level.”

The festival organisers share, “This event will present a cross-genre of music, from local to international artists, with several names such as Disko Afrika and Jazzerimo who have been confirmed, as well as one of 100 world-class DJs who will perform.”
Disko Afrika regularly hosts events in top nightclubs and beach clubs in Bali, which are loved by all who attend.
Leser told reporters, “There will be around 5,000 visitors who will attend for three days in Gili Air. This agenda is a collaboration involving the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the NTB Provincial Government, the North Lombok Regency Government, and others.”

Adding “NTB’s cultural heritage and creative economy as a super priority destination on an international scale, Lombok is the future of Indonesian tourism.”
Tickets are available online now, via the Soundtuari Festival website, with 1-day passes starting from IDR 999,000.

Good idea, BUT Gili Air CANNOT support 5,000 visitors at any time! Transport, lodging, food, WATER, medical, etc, will be overloaded! All that will be needed is rain to resemble Woodstock. I was there in '69. But unlike Woodstock, it will be a huge failure! The clean up will be epic and all that trash has no where to go.
