Tourists traveling to Bali are being given new assurances that safety will always remain a priority at top attractions.
The Indonesian Recreational Park Business Association (PUTRI) Bali has issued updated statements confirming that it will support Governor Koster’s plans to offer 24/7 integrated support to tourists.

The Chairperson of the Indonesian Recreational Park Business Association (PUTRI) Bali, Inda Trimafo Yudha, spoke to reporters in light of Governor Wayan Koster’s recent orders to optimize the emergency and safety network for tourists in the province.
Yudha told reporters, “During operating hours, we are always alert to handle emergencies with a responsive team or staff; besides that, we also have insurance.”
PUTRI works with dozens of Bali’s top cultural and natural tourist attractions, including destinations like the Sangeh Monkey Forest.
Yudha confirmed that PUTRI members also coordinate with government institutions in emergency situations, whether it is an emergency faced by the collective, such as a natural disaster, or an emergency experienced by an individual, such as a monkey bite or injury.
PUTRI and its members also have systems in place to respond in the event of a security emergency.
Yudha used the example of a tourist being bitten by a monkey at Sangeh Monkey Forest to illustrate how PUTRI members have systems and protocols in place to assist tourists in emergencies.
In this instance, as per standard operating procedures, the Sangeh Monkey Forest management team immediately took the tourist to the nearest Rabies Center to receive a free vaccine or serum after following standard post-exposure cleaning protocols.
Yudha noted that PUTRI members are not only attractions, but also coordinate support with hotels and accommodation providers too. Yudha confirmed that PUTRI also guarantees emergency support for tourists already at their accommodation if it is known they have previously visited a PUTRI member attraction through a travel agent.
Yudha added, “If they have any problems at the hotel after their activities with PUTRI, they will contact their travel agent, and the travel agent will contact PUTRI because the agent made the booking.”

As an association, PUTRI currently has 50 members, which include top recreational park businesses in Bali. The association’s reiterated support for tourist safety comes as Bali’s Governor Wayan Koster has ordered the establishment of a series of tourism support stations across the province.
He has also called on all emergency response agencies, including the police, search and rescue teams, and the disaster management agency, to collaborate in creating emergency mitigation plans and coordinated response networks, with a specific focus on tourist safety and security.

Governor Koster told provincial leaders, “We must have a system that ensures the safety and comfort of tourists while in Bali, whether at hotels, beaches, mountains, rivers, or while traveling from one point to another. Everything must be managed in an integrated manner.”
He added, “This post must be connected to health services, disaster management, the police, the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), and tourism agencies. Every tourist spot must have emergency services readily accessible through a dedicated number. We will also prepare a digital application to ensure all these systems are integrated.”

Governor Koster concluded, “If we can implement this, Bali will become more trusted and respected internationally. This is not just natural tourism, but tourism with professional management, superior human resources, and modern information technology.”
The orders from the Governor come just weeks after Bali experienced the worst flooding in over 70 years. The flooding killed more than 18 local people and devastated communities across the island. Flooding was widespread, affecting many top tourism resort areas such as Kuta and Legian, where dozens of tourists had to be evacuated from their accommodations by rescue teams.
