The Head of the South Denpasar Police Department, Kompol I Gede Sudyatmaja, confirmed that an operation was conducted to inspect the implementation of prevention protocols in Sanur.

As the number of domestic and international visitors began to increase, most travel restrictions have been revoked.

Sudyatmaja explained that the authorities selected Sanur because it’s one of the busiest areas in Denpasar.

“Sanur is a tourist area and a hub between mainland Bali and other smaller islands such as Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan. It’s been really busy despite the Covid-19 pandemic.”

This operation was initiated to prevent another Covid surge and create a safer environment for both residents and visitors.

Sudyatmaja stated that authorities would regularly conduct similar operations to increase the awareness and compliance of the people in his area.

It isn't such a bad idea to enforce covid protocols. You can still enjoy the fun but use common sense.

Meanwhile UK hits record Covid-19 levels, the government ended free rapid Covid -19 tests in England under the Johnson's "living with Covid" plan. People who do not have health conditions are now more vulnerable and will have to pay for covid tests.

The UK government's living with Covid strategy (removing any mitigations, isolation, free testing, cutting back on surveillance) amounts to nothing more than ignoring this virus going forwards.

Isn't UK added on the VOA scheme to enter Bali?

Would Bali choose a considerable amount to cut back on covid surveillance? It's a risk to take but don't gamble.
