Authorities of the Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport have prepared a special corridor to welcome all the participants of the Indonesian Badminton Festival (IBF).
The General Manager of Angkasa Pura I, Ltd for the Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport, Henry AY Sikado confirmed that a special corridor has been prepared to welcome all the participants of IBF in Bali. “As the airport operator, we have prepared a special lane to welcome all of the IBF’s participants when they arrive at our facility in Bali,” Sikado said on Wednesday (10/11).
Other than the athletes, Sikado has prepared a special lane for the airplane that will be transporting both officials and athletes of the international badminton competition. The competition will have participants from a total of 24 different countries. “Airplanes that carry the participants will be directed to A25, so passengers can access Gate 1C for a smoother arrival process,” Sikado added.
Apart from that, Sikado has also cooperated with related stakeholders to operate proper screening procedures such as travel documents and temperature checkings from all passengers before gaining access into the public area. As an anticipation stage to prevent Covid-19 transmissions by reducing contacts from the outside, all participants will be transported via chartered flights into Bali.
Meanwhile, a total of 149 participants arrived at the Bali Airport on Wednesday (10/11), while the second flight is scheduled to arrive on Thursday (11/11). “We really hope that Bali will receive more visitors through this international event,” Sikado concluded.

Wait, you mean if you're a badminton participant you don't have to quarantine? And are all participants on that list of 19 countries?
They must have chartered flights or connecting through Jakarta since no international flights are flying in to Bali.
Are they exempt from your eVisa fees? And if no international tourist have booked hotels because of your quarantine requirements the only spectators will be locals.
Not much thought has gone into this process evidently.

For international visitors? Given that there are no other international flights, surely there is no need for a special lane!
