Officials from the Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport have decided to give discounts on landing fees for international airlines.
As one of the efforts to revive Bali’s economy, The Director of Angkasa Pura I Ltd, Faik Fahmi decided to grant a stimulus program on its landing fee to attract more national and international airlines to land at its international terminal now that the border has officially reopened on October 14th 2021 for visitors from a total of 19 different countries.
“After recently reactivating our international terminal in accordance with the central government’s travel bubble program, Angkasa Pura I will give support by providing a stimulus program on our landing fees for both national and international airlines that use our international route from October 14th 2021 to June 30th 2022.” Fahmi said on Thursday (14/10). Fahmi hopes that this program will reduce the airline’s expenses while operating their international flights to Bali.
During the first period of this program which goes from October 14th to December 31st 2021, Angkasa Pura I has given a 100% landing fee discount, and for the second period that goes from January 1st to June 30th 2022, he granted a 50% discount for international arrivals.
However Fahmi explained that this program is only targeted to several specific air services such as regular passenger carrier flights and international airforce companies, while other air travel services such as cargo flight, chartered flight and general aviation were not covered in this program. “Apart from receiving this benefit, eligible airline services will also be promoted by a special team through our social media.” Fahmi concluded.

Best mate lives in Bali, I normally visit him for a week a couple of times a year. So it'll be 5 days in a hotel room and 2 days out and about in Bali, no thanks. Even chaotic Thailand now seems to realize quarantine is the off putting factor. BKK return booked for 5th Dec baby

Garuda Indonesia should resume international flights if the reopening matters much.
Jakarta and Denpasar to London return. Jakarta and Denpasar to Amsterdam return; Jakarta or Denpasar to Tokyo return; Jakarta or Denpasar to Bangkok return. Jakarta or Denpasar to Singapore return. Jakarta or Denpasar to Taipei return. All examples of routing that many travelers have used in the pre-pandemic age of traveling with Garuda Indonesia or code share flights.
Thai Airways may be reopening their international most profitable routes for their much anticipated opening starting Nov 1st. One example Thai Airways may relaunch every Wednesday Bangkok to Jakarta return. But no mention of Denpasar though.
