An Australian national living in Bali was found dead after surfing on Suluban Beach in South Kuta Monday morning (11/1).

The Head of Denpasar Public Relation Police Officer, Iptu I Ketut Sukadi, explained that the 40-year-old foreigner, Taras Mulik from Perth, Australia was found dead on Monday morning at 8:45am.
According to information from a witness named Imam Wahyudi (aged 72) said that prior to the incident, he saw that a foreigner arrived at Suluban Beach to surf.

After some time, he saw the same man laying on the sand near the beach entrance.
Wahyudi immediately alerted beach security to check his condition.
A few minutes later, police arrived at the scene.
“The Australian man was already dead when he was found at the location under the cliff,” said Ketut Sukadi on Monday afternoon (11/1).
“We also found bruises on his chest, and his nose has been bleeding,” Sukadi said to the reporter.
Based on his passport, the victim had been residing in Bali since February 2020.
He was staying in Jalan Pantai Suluban which is near to Suluban beach where he was found.
The body was sent to Sanglah Public Hospital.
Officers have communicated the incident to the Australian Consulate to forward the tragic news to the victim’s family in Australia.
