American Tourist’s Phone Snatched In Uluwatu Bali

An international traveler who had just arrived in Bali got her cellphone snatched while walking on a public street in South Kuta.

The woman, identified as Karina from America, confirmed that she lost her cellphone while walking along a public street in Suluban, Uluwatu area on Monday evening (18/4). Two unidentified men who were riding a motorbike snatched the victim’s cellphone.

Karina, who had just arrived a few days before the incident, was shocked as she did not expect such a thing to happen during her vacation in Bali.

The victim and her friend were walking down the street, and she was holding a cellphone to navigate with an online map. Two men on a motorbike suddenly approached them and snatched her phone.

Unfortunately, the victim could not see the motorbike’s license plate as the incident happened in the blink of an eye.

The victim’s driver, Wayan Sukarda, confirmed that the incident occurred to his client, causing her to lose her iPhone.

Meanwhile, the Head of the South Kuta Police Department, Kompol I Ketut Sugiarta Yoga, stated that he hadn’t received any report regarding the incident.

It happens all over asia, about reporting something stolen,report it.its a thin chance you'll get it back at all.its like going through customs.if customs want it for themselves they will confiscate from you and make up a reason to say it was illegal to bring in here and find out later they are using your stuff.customs in Indonesia is a scam.

I am not sure what happened to all the police in Bali but since covid there are none to be seen. Everywhere you go some little person has taken there mufflers off their motorcycles with NO respect for the law or the well being of anyone but themselves . In every other country in the world the only people that take their mufflers off their motorcycles do it because they are missing their middle leg.
