A Senior Citizen Has Died In A Motorcycle Accident

A 75-year-old man named I Ketut Ruja has died after colliding with another motorbike on Jalan Penebel – Senganan, Tabanan.

The Head of the Tabanan Public Relations Police Officer, Iptu I Nyoman Subagia confirmed that Ketut Ruja was pronounced dead after he was rushed to the hospital. “The victim suffered a serious head injury from the incident that occured on Friday afternoon (30/4), causing him to bleed from his ears.” Iptu Subagia said on Friday.

The incident occured when another biker named Nengah Wilen rode her motorbike from the west side of the road that is located in Babahan Village. But then Nengah was surprised when Ketut suddenly appeared with his motorbike and cut his way in front of her, so the collision was inevitable. “They both collided and fell from their motorbikes, causing Ketut to suffer serious injuries while Nengah injured her forehead and her right finger.” Iptu Subagia added.

They both were immediately rushed to the hospital, but the doctor confirmed that Ketut died while being treated at the hospital. After collecting information from the witness and investigating the scene, officers concluded that the incident occured due to Ketut’s recklessness while driving. “The incident was caused by Ketut’s recklessness while riding his motorbike.” Iptu Subagia concluded.
