A 28-year-old man with initial F from Jakarta will potentially face 20 years of imprisonment for drug trafficking in Bali.

The Head of the Denpasar Police Department, Kombes Pol Jansen Avitus Panjaitan confirmed that F was arrested along with his friend with initial R (aged 18) who has been working as a surf instructor, for getting involved with a drug trafficking business in Bali. “Both suspects were arrested on Monday evening (27/9)  around 8:00pm in Pecatu, South Kuta for attempting to distribute over 1 kg of marijuana.” Kombes Pol Jansen said on Thursday (14/10).

Jansen explained that R was identified as a college student who came to Bali for vacation a few months ago. R decided to extend his holiday after receiving an offer to join this illegal business as a courier. During the interrogation, the suspects admitted that they received a package of marijuana weighing 1,181 grams from a person named Fahri who is now considered a fugitive.

When the officers were informed about a transaction attempt, they immediately came to the scene and caught both suspects red handed. “During the arrest, we seized a large  amount of marijuana that they put inside his motorbike’s seat. They also admitted that they were offered to do this job for USD 35 (IDR 500,000) per transaction.” Kombes Pol Janses added.

Both suspects who have been doing this illegal business for over 3 months will potentially be charged with 20 years of imprisonment and a USD 563,380 (IDR 8 billion) fine to be held responsible for what they have done.

Interesting, no work, Covid restrictions and two young men have now ruined their lives bc they were mules carrying around weed. In America they now deliver marijuana to your house free of charge. But in Bali they enforce the law as it should be. But 20 years is too much for such actions of peddling a bit of smoke.

Should move immediately to country’s where it’s legal, such California and many others. - It’s also a sign for many tourists not to come, because if it is in there country’s allowed why to travel to country where it isn’t.

Build stocks, where these drug pushing scum are locked in to face each other, then simultaneously cane them with twenty five lashes, everyday in public, while the crowds listen to their screams, in front of all the families who lost children to drugs, everyday for the maximum twenty year sentence. The authorities could sell tickets.
