During an interview on Thursday Nov 19th 2020, Astawa said that according to the last decree, GWK has decided to reopen after months of being closed.
“They have prepared all the safety measures before starting the operation” Astawa said.
GWK closed down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, lack of visitors and the large operating cost.
Astawa explained that it requires at least 500 visitors a day to cover the costs.
Before the Pandemic began, nearly 5,000 visitor entered the park each day.
“To avoid creating a crowd, we will limit the number of the visitors to only 50 percent of the capacity” Astawa added.

The prevention protocols will implemented across the property including the parking area, ticket counter, washrooms and other public facilities at the property.
Despite being closed down for months, Astawa said that the management team has been regularly maintaining the property to keep it in great shape for when visitors returned.
